2008 Fire Block Watervale Riesling

Bright pale straw colour with a slight greenish tinge and water like hue. Delicate notes of ripe lime, orange rind and citrus with some tropical fruit background notes. The palate is quite austere and steely dominated by citrus and flinty mineral like notes with some subtle orange rind background flavours. Clean crisp finish with moderate citrus lime aftertaste. The wine lacks the flavour intensity seen in many of the other 2008 Clare Valley Rieslings. Cellar 3-4 years to allow some tertiary characters to build.
