2008 Edradour 12 Year Old Oloroso Sherry Cask Matured Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Edradour's sought after 'Ibisco' decanters made a welcome return in 2019. Evidently, we're not the only ones who noted their absence with demand now far exceeding supply. From a single Spanish Oloroso sherry cask, the dark hue of this whisky anticipates immense richness and depth, as does the ABV - in short, a sherry bomb in every sense of the term. Comments from a visitor to the distillery in 2019 who tasted this echo our experience of earlier bottlings: "It doesn't matter how many whiskies I try, I have never got the same experience as I got with this one. This whisky is magical. Every time you drink it you get a new taste. 5 stars."
Distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2020 at 57.5% Alc./Vol, 689 bottles are on offer world wide.

Notes from Edradour... Nose: Hints of dried fruits and crème caramel. Palate: Rich dried fruits and berries, orange peel, toffee and liquid Christmas cake. Incredible texture in the mouth coming from the smallest traditional stills in Scotland. Finish: Soft spices, figs, mellow and warming like the glowing embers of a log fire.
