2008 Dowie Doole Shiraz

This Shiraz was matured in a mixture of French and American oak between 1-4 years old. The wine was racked and topped every three months and remained in barrel for sixteen months.
Opaque black dark red colour with black crimson hue. The nose is a touch subdued at present with aromas of dark plum, blackberry and chocolate followed by some confectionary end notes. Full bodied generous palate flavours of dark plum, dark chocolate and vanilla. Soft velvet like tannins with aftertaste of dark chocolate, vanilla and confectionary.
