2008 Brini Old Vine Shiraz

Sourced from vines over 50 years old, the resultant wine was matured in a combination of American and French oak hogsheads. Opaque black dark red colour with a very dark red black tinged hue. The nose displays lifted scents of liquorice, dark chocolate and dark plums followed by some toasty vanillin oak and spicy leather. Full bodied the palate delivers a rich profile of liquorice, dark ripe blackberries and dark chocolate over some vanillin oak and spice. Solid very fine grained tannins. Good depth with a long liquorice, ripe blackberry, dark chocolate and spicy vanillin oak aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
