2008 Bleasdale Generations Shiraz

Opaque black dark red crimson colour with black crimson hue. The aromas are a little restrained slowly revealing subtle notes of blackberry, plum and blackpepper. The palate is full bodied but does not possess the same level of concentration and power as the outstanding 2006. Flavours of blackberry, dark plum, confectionary and spice with some blackpepper end notes lacking some complexity. Fine grained soft tannins with aftertaste of spice, blackpepper and dark plum. A little disappointing given the quality of previous vintages.
Drink now or cellar 1-2 years (2009-2011)
