2008 Altos Las Hormigas Malbec

Altos Las Hormigas was founded in 1995 by a group of Italian wine professionals with a focus on the production of Malbec and Bonarda.

Excellent opaque crimson red purple colour with deep crimson purple hue showing good cling. Aromas of inky dark cherries, confectionary and earth. Medium weight with flavours of ripe inky dark cherry and spice followed by some earthy leather like characters on the back palate. Fine grained dryish but balanced tannin structure with aftertaste of inky dark cherry, spice and leather.
