Winemaker Brent Marris and his father sold their Wither Hills vineyard for a tidy $52 million. Not content to lay back and go fishing, Marris started a new operation under the brand of Ned, which refers to the summit of Marlborough – one of the highest peaks in the Wither Hills Range.
Bright straw colour with water like hue. Top note of ripe gooseberry,
followed by unripe gooseberry, end note of spice and tropical fruit with a final
herbaceous note. The palate displays flavours of ripe gooseberry and spice over an herbaceous background.
Clean finish. Ripe gooseberry, herbaceous aftertaste.
Cellar 1-2 years (2009-2010)
