Very deep dark crimson red colour with crimson mauve hue – superb colour. Perfumed nose displaying aromas of violets, dark cherry, anise and Troncais oak followed by a truffle end note. The palate displays good weight but is missing the highly sought after power wave great Pinots are renown for. Flavours of dark cherry, spice, plum and cedar. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of dark cherry and spice.
Cellar 2-3 years. (2011-2013)
13.5% Alc

Other Reviews...
Distinctly darker hue than Judd or McCutcheon; as the colour suggests, stronger dark fruit flavours run through the palate, which has good balance. Will repay cellaring. Screwcap.
