The 2007 vintage commenced on the 28th of February. Parts of Tasmania experienced a cold but dry winter followed by a very dry spring, many regions were adversely affected by frosts, however, due to the sheltered location of the vineyard (on an inside bend of the Derwent River and effectively surrounded by running water) the Stefano Lubiana vineyard escaped any such disasters. The vineyard is gently elevated from the riverbank and is composed of gravely soils deposited by the river some millions of years ago. The northern orientation of the vineyard increases the heat accumulation as well as providing good air circulation.

Bright straw colour with pale straw hue. Top note of yeast lees, biscuit, hazelnut and cashew with a honeycomb end note. The palate is sophisticated, classy barrel ferment character – flavours of honeycomb, fig, biscuit and hazelnut over a citrus background. Excellent length with perfect balance. Aftertaste of citrus, hazelnut, spice and fig.
