Very deep almost opaque black purple colour with black purple hue. Lifted top note with confectionary, dark chocolate, spice, blackberry and vanilla, showing strong varietal character. The strength of the nose does not carry through to the palate with flavours of vanilla and plum followed by light spice. Moderate length. Fine grained tannins. Plum, vanilla aftertaste.

Other Reviews...
Dr John Possingham was a distinguished research scientist, and acknowledges the science-based management of the estate vineyards. This has a lovely, harmonious mix of perfectly ripened red and black fruits; fine, soft tannins with supporting oak run through a very long finish. Gold medal Adelaide Wine Show 2007.
Drink now-2016 with kangaroo fillet
