Brilliant straw colour with pale straw hue, showing a classic Riesling nose. Top note of citrus, followed by lime, orange blossom and a hint of tropical fruit. The acidity dominates the palate creating a sensation of austerity. Strong lemon flavours over a background of unripe lime. Crisp acid finish. Long lime aftertaste.

First Tasted 2nd October, 2007;
This wine is a vinous essay in austerity. Bright straw colour with pale straw hue and young green tinge. The nose is superb – one of the best young Riesling sniffs. Rose petal, lime orange blossom and spice fill the nose. The palate comes as a complete surprise – some crisp acidity is expected but not to this degree. Like sucking fresh lemons and semi ripe green apples over green lime juice. The flavour profile stops dead to be totally over whelmed by acidity. Wait for the aldehydes to develop.
