This Chardonnay was created after the main crop was decimated by frost and drought. The wine was barrel fermented in 25% new oak. Bright pale gold colour with straw hue. The nose shows barrel ferment character with top note of yeast lees followed by hazelnut, cashew and biscuit with a touch of grapefruit evident. The palate displays flavours of hazelnut, cashew and biscuit. Creamy texture, however the depth of flavour of this wine is limited. Aftertaste of light lees and hazelnut.
