2007 Josef Chromy Pepik Pinot Noir

Semi translucent crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Lifted top note of strawberry, cherry and spice. On the palate flavours of cherry and spice are meshed with a hint of earth and truffle. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of cherry, spice and plum. A well made soft Pinot.

First tasted June 2008: Translucent crimson mauve colour with mauve hue. Lightly perfumed nose with cherry and violet top note followed by strawberry. The palate delivers a very good varietal flavour profile of light strawberry, cherry and spice followed by a modest power wave. Soft tannins. Long spicy aftertaste. An easy drinking light pinot.
