2007 Hidden Spirits Ledaig 10 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Followers of this label will know it to be one very tasty peaty whisky, produced at the Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull. This was distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2017 by Italian bottler, Hidden Spirits.

Tasting note: [Cask LDG717] Very pale straw gold. Opening pass is intensely briney, kippery, sweetly smokey and mezcal-like. Air contact adds whiffs of lanolin / latex / kelp evolving to sweeter scents of rice crackers, sponge cake and American oak after 5 minutes exposure. Semi-sweet, tangy, fresh entry building with brine, pepper, lanolin and a kippery accent that carries the finish. Barley barely gets a look in. Ends warming, well balanced, sooty, oily and prolonged. One of the smokiest Ledaigs to date. 52.5% Alc./Vol.
