The 2007 growing season was atypical of Hawkes Bay. The weather remained cool until January but remained warm and dry for the rest of the growing season, making it ideal for the flavour development of Pinot Gris. The wine was produced from 5 year old vines grown on the deep free draining red metals of the Bridge Pa Triangle, sub region of Hawkes Bay.
Bright pale straw
colour with water like hue. Lifted nose with top note of fully ripened pears. The palate is Alsatian in its inspiration –
full bodied, with flavours of spice and ripe pear. Clean acid finish.
Cellar 1-2 years (2009-2010)
