This wine was produced from a blend of 75% Shiraz and 25% Grenache sourced from low yielding (1.5 tonnes per acre) 60-80 year old vines located in the sub region of Ebenezer.
The Grenache component was fermented and matured in stainless steel to maintain it’s freshness, whilst the Shiraz component was matured for a period of 12 months in a combination of 2-3 year old French (80%) and American (20%) oak.

Deep purple red colour with crimson red purple hue. Lifted notes of blackberry, plum, confectionary and spice, with a touch of very ripe raspberry in the background – very perfumed. The palate is very generous displaying excellent weight for this type of blend. Mouthfilling flavours of ripe plum, blackberry, confectionery, spice and blackpepper. Excellent mid palate richness and concentration. Fine grained well balanced tannins with long aftertaste of dark cherry, blackberry and spice.
A top example of this Rhone inspired blend.
