2007 Edwards Margaret River Shiraz

The near perfect 2007 vintage conditions experienced in Margaret River have produced some of the best Shiraz that we’ve seen in recent years from the region. Many of the wines are displaying similar traits to Rhone Valley Shiraz based wines.

Opaque dark red purple colour with dark crimson red hue. Aromas of aniseed, blackberry, spice and blackpepper followed by a meaty end note. Rich generous flavours of aniseed, blackberry and blackpepper followed by a spicy meat like character on the back palate. A very persistent peppery character is present throughout the palate giving the wine a very Rhone like flavour profile. Very fine grained and beautifully integrated tannins, with a long aftertaste of liquorice, ripe blackberry, blackpepper and spice.
