2007 Capel Vale Regional Series Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep crimson red mauve colour with deep mauve hue. Aromas of blackcurrant, cedar and tobacco with just a hint of tea leaf. The palate displays good weight with flavours of ripe blackcurrant, earth and cedar. The tannin structure is quite firm and dry and tends to swamp the fruit leaving the taster with a dry grippy mouth puckering sensation. Aftertaste of cedar along with some earthy minerality. 15%
