2007 Cape Mentelle Cabernet Sauvignon

Another magnificent Cabernet from the benchmark 2007 Margaret River vintage. Maturation took place in French oak barriques for 18 months of which 40% were new with the balance being one year old.
Opaque black crimson colour with crimson black hue. Refined nose revealing perfumed aromas of violets, blackcurrant, mulberry, cedar and cigar box with a spice end note. The palate is medium to full bodied, elegant and refined displaying concentrated flavours of blackcurrant, spice, cedar and mulberry. Excellent length with fine grained, slightly dryish but balanced tannin structure. Long aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, cedar, cigar box and spice.
Cellar 5-8 years (2015-2018).
Alc 14.0%
