2006 Yalumba FDW [7C] Chardonnay

Bright pale straw colour with green tinge. Top note of yeast lees and cashew followed by notes of biscuit, cinnamon, spice and a hint of butterscotch. On the palate flavours of yeast lees, spice, biscuit and melon over a butterscotch background. Aftertaste of citrus and butterscotch. A relatively light Chardonnay. For those who are interested in esoteric codes, FDW means fresh dry white and [7C] is the barrel code. Someone in marketing must be a frustrated decoder!
