2006 X & Y Chardonnay

The 2006 growing season in Margaret River was one of the coolest and longest on record, ideal for producing premium Chardonnay fruit. This is clearly evidenced in the flavour profile of this wine, which tastes well above its price point. Most of the fruit was sourced from vineyards surrounding the winery in the
Jindong area of Margaret River.

A bargain!

Bright pale gold colour with straw hue. Lifted nose of honeycomb, biscuit and melon, followed by fig and yeast lees, showing impressive varietal character. The palate shows a complexity of flavours with yeast lees, honeycomb, hazelnut, cashew and grapefruit evident. Very spicy back palate. Outstanding length and depth. Aftertaste of honeycomb, hazelnut and lees.
