The Vinea Marson property was purchased in 1999 after former Mt.Mary winemaker, Mario Marson identified the warm climate and volcanic Cambrian soil of the Eastern slopes of Heathcote's Mt. Camel Range to be ideally suited to the growing of Shiraz. While establishing his own vineyard, Mario worked as winemaker at Jasper Hill Vineyard with Ron Laughton, so gaining an invaluable apprenticeship to the district. Mario's relatively young vines are already yielding excellent results.

Outstanding black purple colour with black purple hue, showing excellent cling to the glass. Top note of violet, followed by blackberry, spice, liquorice allsorts and just a hint of earth. Perfumed palate. Fine grained perfectly balanced tannins. Flavours of black and white pepper over a background of blackberry and spice. Aftertaste of spice and black pepper.
Cellar 5-8 years (2013-2016)
