Two Hands was formed in 1999 with the clear objective of making the best possible Shiraz from Australia’s top producing Shiraz sites. Proprietors’ Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz philosophy is quite simple “From the beginning, we have set out to build a wine company that is different in its approach, one that is innovative and not afraid to think outside the square. We want to put some fun back into wine.”

Totally opaque black purple colour with black purple hue. Top note of violets, followed by confectionary, liquorice allsorts and vanilla. The palate flavours are impressive. Vanilla, white and black pepper and liquorice over a plum background. Fine grained tannins, perfect balance. A wine with typical McLaren Vale joosiness. Very long aftertaste of blackberry, black and white pepper.
Cellar 3-4 years (2010-2011)
Alc/Vol: 14.8%

Other Reviews...
The 2006 Shiraz “Angel’s Share has an expressive perfume of cedar, wood smoke, leather, pencil lead, pepper, and blueberry muffin. Velvety-textured and ripe, it has outstanding depth and length and a harmonious personality. Drink it over the next 6-8 years. Two Hands is a negociant operation run impeccably by Michael Twelftree. It reflects the best that can be sourced from all over South Australia.
