2006 Torres Coronas Tempranillo

Made from a blend of 86% Tempranillo and 14% Cabernet Sauvignon the wine was aged for 9 months in French oak. Dark crimson red colour with brick red mauve hue. Aromas of cherry, earth and leather followed by some spice end notes. Medium bodied with flavours of spicy dark cherry, plum, earth and cedar. The tannins are fine grained, slightly dry but balanced. Dry finish with aftertaste of spice, dark cherry and earth. A well made entry level Spanish Tempranillo that displays plenty of flavour.
Drink now or cellar 2-3 years (2009-2012)
