Restauranteur Peter Clarke (head chef and part-owner of the award-winning Vintners Bar & Grill near Angaston) and viticulturalist Andrew Wardlaw created their first wine in 1998 in a small Tin Shed in the Barossa Valley. For the 2006 vintage, winemaker and viticulturalist Nathan Norman teamed up with Clarke. Fruit from several different vineyards in the Eden Valley was matured for 12 months in old oak, with small amounts of Mourvedre and Grenache added for extra complexity.

This generously styled Barossa Shiraz is another brilliantly put together effort from the Tin Shed crew offering superb value for money

Totally opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue, showing excellent cling to the glass. Lifted nose, with top note of liquorice allsorts, vanilla, ripe plum, blackberry and spice, showing strong varietal character. The palate flavours are generous with flavours of plum, blackberry, vanilla and black pepper evident. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of vanilla, liquorice and blackberry. An excellent follow up to the very successful 2005 vintage.
Cellar 3-4 years (2011-2012)
