The vines for the Aberfeldy Shiraz were planted in 1904 by the Birks family. The wine has been matured for 24 months in new American oak.
Very deep almost opaque black purple colour. Perfumed nose of violets, vanilla, cedar and blackberry – a superb sniff. The palate displays flavours of plum, spice and vanilla, supported by fine chalky tannins. Aftertaste of plum, spice and vanilla. A restrained style.
