2006 The Wanderer Gewurztraminer

This wine has been made by Andrew Marks – whose parents run Gembrook Hill. Bright pale straw colour with water like hue. Top notes of lychee and spice, followed by a hint of ripe pear. The palate has good weight, but is drier than the best examples from Alsace or New Zealand. The flavour profile is impressive, with lychee and spice to the fore, followed by a touch of acceptable coarseness. Clean finish.
