An exceptional Barossa Shiraz that combines structure, balance, poise and power.

The Standish wines are produced by former Torbreck winemaker Dan Standish. Whilst the wines stylistically bare some resemblance to Torbreck’s in terms of concentration and power they are not quite as super ripe and display slightly more structure. Fruit was sourced from the Standish Family vineyard planted in 1912. The Standish wines have been almost exclusively restricted to export markets in the past and only now are we beginning to see them make an appearance on the domestic scene.
The Standish wines are amply curvaceous, voluptuous, yet perfectly proportioned beauties (without the plastic surgery).

Super saturated opaque black dark red colour with dark red hue. The nose leaps out of the glass with perfumed notes of ripe blackberry, dark plum, liquorice and confectionary with some spice end notes. A very perfumed sniff displaying great intensity. Densely packed, the palate is bursting with flavour showing no signs of bulkiness. Perfectly balanced super concentrated flavours of blackberry, liquorice, confectionary and blackpepper. Velvet smooth perfectly integrated tannins with exceptionally long spicy blackberry, dark plum, liquorice and blackpepper aftertaste.
