The 18 hectare vineyard was first planted in 1991 and overlooks the spectacular tidal estuary of the Derwent River. Deep mauve crimson colour with mauve hue, showing excellent colour and depth for Pinot. Spicy top note, followed by perfumed violets and black cherry showing good varietal lift. The palate has good weight and mouthfeel with flavours of spice, black cherry and liquorice evident, supported by velvet smooth tannins. Aftertaste of black cherry and spice.
