2006 Reschke Vitulus Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine was matured for 24 months in a combination of 20% new French oak hogsheads and 80% older French and American barriques and hogsheads. Opaque purple black colour with dark crimson purple hue. Aromas of blackcurrant, plum, confectionary and cedar with some cigar box end notes. Full bodied with flavours of ripe plum, blackcurrant and dark chocolate, displaying good weight, followed by some spice and cedar. Fine grained dryish tannins with aftertaste of blackcurrant, plum and cedar.
