2006 Plunkett Fowles The Rule Reserve Shiraz

This wine saw 16 months maturation in mostly new French oak. Deep crimson black colour with crimson mauve hue. Aromas of confectionary, liquorice allsorts, cedar and spice. The palate flavours are relatively light for a so called ‘Reserve’ Shiraz and lack depth and complexity. Flavours of liquorice allsorts, blackberry, confectionary and spice. Fine grained tannins with aftertaste of confectionary, liquorice and spice.
