2006 Pikes Luccio Sangiovese Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon

A well made flavoursome blend. Medium body, crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Top note of cherry, followed by spice and stewed fruit. Strong cassis end note. The palate delivers flavours of cherry, spice and stewed fruit over a cassis back palate. Fine grained dryish, balanced tannins. Aftertaste of cherry and spice with just a hint of inkiness emerging.
