2006 Peter Lehmann Cabernet Sauvignon

The voluptuous quality of Peter Lehmann's reds seems to have gone out the door in favour of tighter knit, more tannic wines.
Very deep crimson colour with crimson brick red hue. Top note of stewed fruit, followed by cedar, plum and old leather. The palate displays flavours of stewed fruit, followed by fine dry chalky tannins. The fruit flavour drops off leaving dry, chalky tannins behind.
