Right from the outset, Petaluma Chardonnay has been a product of state of the art winemaking and science. Croser’s Petaluma Vineyard was established in 1976. The objective is to harvest fruit at optimal maturity and process the grapes to yield fresh juice in a stable completely un-oxidised condition. It is kept on skins for 12 hours prior to draining and pressing.

An outstanding example inspired by the great white wines of Burgundy, showing both refinement and power

Brilliant pale gold colour with water like hue. Superb layered nose of cashew, yeast lees, melon and fig – classic Chardonnay markers. The palate continues to impress with flavours of spice, melon, fig, hazelnut and almonds. Creamy texture. Excellent weight with perfect acidity & oak. Very long fig, melon and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 3-4 years (2011-2012)

Toasty and complex, with grilled nuts, grapefruit and floral notes; very elegantly structured, with fine acid and fruit, and the flavour builds across the palate to a long, harmonious and fresh finish. 13.5º alc. Drink 2015
