2006 Penfolds Bin 138 Shiraz Grenache Mourvedre

Produced from a blend of 39% Shiraz, 32% Grenache and 29% Mouvedre, the wine was matured for 16 months in five year old French and American oak hogsheads.

Opaque black purple colour with purple crimson hue. Perfumed nose, with top note of raspberry followed by confectionary and vanilla. The palate delivers generous ripe fruit flavours of raspberry, blackberry and black pepper over a spicy background. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spice and plum.
