2006 Narkoojee The Athelstan Merlot

Opaque brick red colour with brick red hue. Aroma of mulberry jam, cedar, stewed fruit and spice followed by a new leather end note. The palate displays flavours of cedar and stewed fruit followed by spice and leather. Fine dry, slightly chalky tannins. The wine is beginning to tip over so needs to be drunk. Aftertaste of cedar and stewed fruit with dry tannins persisting.
