2006 Mount Horrocks Riesling

Bright straw colour with pale straw hue. Top note of lime, followed by confectionary, rose petal and tropical fruit. The lime top note is very pronounced, giving the wine a superb lift. Flavours of ripe oranges and ripe mandarin are prominent on the palate followed by flavours of tropical fruit and citrus. Crisp acid finish. Long aftertaste of ripe mandarin, tropical fruit and lime.

First Tasted, August 2006: A superb 2006 Riesling. Bright straw colour with pale straw hue. Lifted nose, perfumed with notes of honey, lime, orange blossom and spice. Mouthfilling palate, again the lime characteristics appear overlaid with orange and rose petal infusions, with tropical fruit on the back palate. Clean finish. Long honeyed, lime aftertaste.
