2006 Kaesler Old Vine Shiraz

Totally opaque – black purple colour with excellent cling to the glass, paint like in manner. Top note of vanilla, violet and spice delivering a perfumed sniff and very appealing. The palate has plenty of body weight – flavours of black pepper, dark chocolate and mocha are evident. The mocha component is too dominant giving the wine a bitter back palate sensation. Aftertaste of mocha and dark chocolate.
