2006 Hobbs Shiraz

Superb inky black colour that’s totally impenetrable with a deep dark red black hue. Liqueur like aromas of black cherry, blackberry and liquorice are followed by chocolatey vanillin oak and spice. Big, rich lavish flavours of liquorice and black cherries swamp the palate over cassis liqueur like characters, vanillin oak and spice with a fair dose of heat on the finish from the hefty 16.4% alcohol. Dry slightly firmish tannins. The high alcohol burn cutting the aftertaste short with liquorice, black cherries, vanillin oak and spice.
Cellar 3-4 years.
