Helen's Hill Estate was named after the property's previous owner, Helen Fraser and composes some 160 acres of sandy clay loam soils situated above the frost line. The Estate is planted in two blocks. The old block was purchased in the 1990’s with existing plantings of cool climate varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet. The new block increased the plantings of the varieties of the old block and also included a number of new varieties, including Shiraz, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier and Arneis. The team at Helen's Hill summarise their winemaking philosophy quite simply. “Basically, we’re producing some classic wines steeped in hundreds of years of history along with some funky new ones… the common threads throughout Helens Hill wines are cool climate and traditional with a twist”.

'A CLASSY COOL CLIMATE SHIRAZ THAT PERFECTLY REFLECTS THE WINEMAKER'S PHILOSOPHY.'
