2006 Hart Brothers Single Cask Pulteney 15 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Tasting note: [30ml sample] Beautiful amber gold. The aromas develop with orange chocolate, beeswax and hints of straw. Here the sherry (probably a PX cask) seems to compete with the coastal idiosyncacies of Pulteney. The malt feels brittle and needs a lot of rolling around the tongue to reveal the sweet spots - which will be most of the fun for some. Raisin cake surfaces late. 52.6% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
