Medium body, deep crimson mauve colour with crimson mauve hue. Spiced raspberry top note followed by hints of blackberry and liquorice. The palate is relatively tighter than the other Grenache’s. Flavours of raspberry, spice and plum followed by a black pepper back palate. Excellent weight and mouthfeel. Velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of raspberry, cherry, black pepper and spice.

The 2006 Grenache Clarendon is velvety, ripe, and sweet with excellent depth and length. It offers aromas and flavors of earth, violets, spice box and black cherry and will be drinkable in its youth.
