Spectacular colour – totally saturated black purple with black purple hue. The nose is superb – top note of violet infusions, anise, vanilla and confectionary – a wonderful sniff. The palate is mouthfilling – a concentrate of ripe plum, violet infusions, fresh liquorice, blackberry, cedar and black pepper. Outstanding length and depth – showing remarkable persistence. Velvet tannin structure with exceptionally long aftertaste of confectionary, cedar and blackberry.

Other Reviews…
Lithe and elegant, all velvet and grace, with gorgeous blackberry and blueberry character floating effortlessly over a sleek frame. The finish just keeps sailing on, and the flavors seem to expand as they go. Best from 2010 through 2020.

The 2006 Syrah Brookman Vineyard was aged in 100% new oak. Purple/black in color, it is super-fragrant with notes of toasty new oak, tobacco, saddle leather, blueberry, and blackberry. It is structured as well as beautifully balanced, and will benefit from 8-10 years of cellaring.
