Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Perfumed nose of violets followed by blackberry, spice and cedar with nuances of new leather. The palate delivers superb length with layers of cedar, spice, and black pepper followed by liquorice, mocha and dark chocolate. Fine grained tannins, perfect balance. Exceptionally long aftertaste of spice, dark chocolate, blackberry and cedar – and just when one considers the aftertaste as being a final statement, a wave of lasting black and white pepper emerges.

Alc/Vol: 14.5%

Other Reviews…
Big, supple and remarkably graceful for its size, with hints of cream, cedar and clove around a core of blackberry and pomegranate flavors, all coming together on a seamless finish. Has impressive length. Drink now through 2020.

The 2006 Syrah Bakers Gully is dark ruby-colored, very perfumed, and velvety-textured. It offers lots of up-front fruit and flavor and will be drinkable in its youth
