Wine maker Ant Moore states “My goal is to make wine that has not just intensity, but complexity and interest on the palate. I’m really looking for a wine that will evolve in the glass and open up as consumed, revealing a variety of flavours and textures."
Bright pale straw colour with water like hue. Fresh, lifted nose. Ripe and unripe gooseberry top note, followed by a vegetative note and just a hint of tropical fruit. On the palate the unripe gooseberry component is dominant, followed by ripe gooseberry. Excellent weight and mouthfeel, delivering a refined palate sensation. Long unripe gooseberry aftertaste.
Cellar 1-2 years (2007-2008)
