2006 Catalina Sounds Pinot Noir

Semi translucent colour with deep ruby purple hue. The nose delivers good varietal character with notes of cherry, strawberry and spice. There is a hint of stalk. On the palate flavours of cherry, spice and light aniseed emerge. Soft tannins, however, the wine has little depth and misses out on a power wave. Aftertaste of stewed fruit and cherry.
