2006 Cambrian Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon

Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Top note of blackcurrant, followed by spice, cassis and liquorice, with violet end note. The nose displays good Cabernet character. The palate reveals flavours of blackcurrant, spice, light cedar and truffle. Fine dryish, chalky tannins. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, spice and black pepper.

First Tasted 21st February, 2008;
Medium body, deep crimson mauve colour. Top note of blackcurrant, followed by spice, cedar and plum. The tannins are fine and quite dry, leaving the fruit somewhat in the background. Chalky dry tannin aftertaste.
