A toddler by Speyside standards, having been founded in 1958, purchased by Bacardi and now owned by Dewars, Macduff rarely makes it to market as an official distillery bottling. Around 10% of the malt whisky produced is released as a single malt (usually under the Glen Deveron label), the remainder forming a major component in the Dewar’s and William Lawson blends. As a single malt, Macduff is most commonly found as a 10 year old with the house style tending towards fruity, sherry sweetness.

Distilled in 2006 / bottled 2017 from 2 x ex Bourbon casks with an out-turn of 720 bottles, the packaging here marks the 175th Anniversary celebration of Cadenheads, so a collector's edition. From the bottlers... "White chocolate, pink peppercorns, banana leaves. Very fresh." Sounds like a solid Macduff at a great price. 46% Alc./Vol.
