The Best’s Great Western Thomson Family Shiraz is one of Australia’s icon wines delivering a Shiraz of great persistence and sophistication. It is produced from Henry Best’s original 15 rows of vines planted in 1866 (making them some of the world's oldest and something of a national treasure) with yields of less than two tonnes per acre.

Made only in exceptional years and always in tiny quantities.
Opaque black purple colour with black purple hue – outstanding colour. Refined aromas of liquorice allsorts, confectionary, spice and black pepper. The palate displays elegance and power with flavours of liquorice, blackberry, confectionary and spice all seamlessly integrated with lingering black pepper back palate flavours. Super fine grained tannins in perfect balance with exceptionally long aftertaste of black pepper, spice and blackberry.
