Best’s Bin 0 Shiraz is generally produced from Best’s oldest plantings and selected from the lowest yielding blocks of the historic Concongella vineyards at Great Western. This includes nineteenth century and mid twentieth century plantings of Shiraz. Maturation took place in a combination of 1/3 new and one and two year old French and American oak (barriques and puncheons) for around 12 months.

Opaque crimson red purple colour with crimson purple hue. Lifted aromas of liquorice allsorts, confectionary, blackberry and spice. Medium to full bodied with flavours of blackberry, plum, blackpepper, liquorice allsorts, spice and cedar followed by a touch of mocha showing typical Great Western refinement. Fine grained tannin structure – perfect balance. Very long aftertaste of spice, blackberry, liquorice and blackpepper.
Cellar 5-8 years.
